The North Hartford Ascend (Ascend) governance structure is intended to provide a structure to facilitate collaborative leadership and management of the initiative. It also promotes transparency related to priority setting, decision-making, project progress, and accountability for the initiative’s areas of focus. Community and resident representation is embedded throughout the governance structure to ensure community and resident recommendations are the driving force behind Ascend.

Join our Work Groups!

The North Hartford Ascend is currently recruiting community members to serve on its various work groups. We value the input of residents in co-creating a path forward to enhance outcomes for children living in the North Hartford Promise Zone.

Various teams and work groups guide the initiative and include Ascend team members, community partners and residents. All participants work together to provide input, make recommendations and share expertise to help design and implement Ascend. Community and resident voices are critical to the work of Ascend.

The Leadership Team is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of the North Hartford Ascend.
