Addressing the critical needs of the most vulnerable children
We're pleased to help children with complex medical needs thrive outside of the hospital through a partnership with All Pointe HomeCare.
Through this collaboration, private in-home nursing and skilled, intermittent care is available in many geographic areas throughout the state. This service allows families to embark on a journey home from the hospital and still benefit from ongoing necessary medical support that might otherwise keep them there.
Supporting the needs of children, right at home
With the addition of more than 200 highly trained home health aides, nurses, and clinicians from All Pointe HomeCare, Connecticut Children’s will be able to serve over 200 children requiring both short-term and long-term homecare. This expansion also positions the health system to better support children with acute and chronic complex medical needs, including respiratory care and tube feeding, by providing skilled nursing services in their homes.
Short- and long-term services
Children with acute and chronic complex medical needs, including respiratory care and tube feeding, may qualify for skilled nursing services in their homes through Connecticut Children's collaboration with All Pointe HomeCare.
Who qualifies for homecare?
Connecticut Children's and All Pointe HomeCare now have the ability to provide skilled and private duty services to patients referred from the hospital and clinic settings.
